In response to Chinese Arts Centre's summer Life Friendly residency with
local artist Yan Preston, the centre will host an interactive event
with the artist, David Haley (MMU Arts in Environment MA course) and
Nadine Andrews (Culture Probe). Using the format of an open forum
discussion the three will open up various view points and areas for
debate concerning environment and sustainability and asks what role an
artist has to play. Furthermore they will ask you the participants to
question the true meaning of a 'Life Friendly' approach - can our
practice truly have a positive impact on both environment and the well
being of others, without affecting the well being of ourselves in the
process?
